Restore Salesforce metadata

Metadata files are located in the metadata folder within a connector. Metadata can only be restored from this folder and subfolders and not with the Restore Wizard.

Read-only metadata cannot be restored and are marked with a pink icon. 

Restore metadata

1. In your connector, find the item you want to restore.
You can use the search at the top of the screen or the filter to find the item quickly.

2. Optional: If you wish to restore an older version of the item, click the Snapshots Viewer icon, then select an earlier snapshot to view data from that point in time.

3. Click the Restore icon for the metadata item you want to restore.

4. Click Yes to confirm the restore.

Notes:

• The display name shows the unique API name / DeveloperName.
• In the backup, all subfolders of a metadata type are shown in the root folder of that metadata type, even if the folder structure in Salesforce is multi-level (for example reports and dashboards).
