Microsoft 365 data backup by Keepit for DRK Hessen

The migration of approximately 80% of DRK’s data to the Microsoft Cloud created a need for a comprehensive external data backup solution. Based on the requirements of the employees, fundamental conditions were specified that had to be met by an external backup and recovery solution. Of particular importance was the cloud-to-cloud backup of files from Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.

Data protection, or the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), now also influences the choice of digital applications. In this context and with a cloud solution, it was particularly important for the DRK that the data be stored in Western Europe or Germany.

Simple and speedy implementation

Clear and simple communication, comprehensive demo appointments, and the option of a nonbinding test phase impressed DRK Hessen and led to the decision in favor of backup and recovery from Keepit. Thanks to the straightforward implementation, Keepit’s solution was fully up and running on the customer’s system after about a week.

Compared to a manually triggered backup, Keepit’s cloud solution now saves valuable time in the audit. If an emergency arises, all desired data relevant to the DRK can be backed up and retrieved 24/7 - in mere seconds.
