Change a connector's retention period

This article explains how to set a custom snapshot retention period for a connector.

You can set a custom retention period for any connector. The custom period can't exceed the retention period assigned to your Keepit account.

Reducing the retention period below the extent of your existing backup can cause data loss. By default, a delete retention period of 30 days applies, giving you time to reverse the change before Keepit permanently deletes the affected snapshots.

Change your retention period

1. To the right of the connector, select the gear icon.

2. In the lower-right corner, select the calendar icon.

3. Select Limit retention period.

4. Set the retention period to Years or Months.

5. Enter a value in the retention period field.

6. Select Update.
