What counts as a seat in a Power Platform / Dynamics 365 backup

What is a seat

A seat is the metric Keepit uses to measure your consumption of our services. Each seat you purchase represents one licensed user.

Dynamics 365 

Requirements for a user to be counted as one seat

• User must be an active user under a Dynamics 365 subscription
• Dynamics 365 Sales
• Dynamics 365 Customer Service
• Dynamics 365 Field Service
• Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation
• Dynamics 365 Marketing
• If the user is in multiple Dynamics 365 applications (modules), we count the user just once

Power Platform 

Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages are bundled together as a single offering. You don't purchase or license them separately — when you back up Power Platform, all three are included.

Keepit counts seats based on the number of assigned licenses in your Microsoft 365 tenant. Your M365 seat count determines the seat count for your Power Platform backup.
