Reauthenticate Your Zendesk Account in Keepit
Why Reauthentication Is Required
Zendesk is transitioning to a new OAuth refresh token flow, which introduces short-lived access tokens that expire and must be refreshed using a refresh token. This change affects all integrations, including Keepit. Existing connections using permanent tokens will stop working unless you reauthenticate.
To ensure uninterrupted backup of your Zendesk data in Keepit, please reauthenticate your Zendesk account.
How to Reconnect Your Zendesk Connector
1) Open your backup configuration and select Proceed on the pop-up dialog.
2) Sign in to your dedicated service account.
Note: Ensure this account has the appropriate admin role.
3) Follow the prompts to authorize Keepit to access your Zendesk account using the new OAuth flow.
4) Once connected, your backups will continue without interruption.
What Happens if I Don’t Reconnect
If you do not reauthenticate before the deadline:
- Keepit will lose access to your Zendesk account.
- Your Zendesk backups will stop.
- Any new data in Zendesk will not be backed up until you reconnect. However, previously backed-up data will remain intact.
