Add and manage connections
A connection links the Keepit platform to your organization through one or more applications and defines which data Keepit can access.
Each organization can have only one connection, but multiple connectors can use the same connection to access that organization’s data.
When you create a connection, you can choose whether to create it using a system or a custom application. Later, if needed, you can add additional applications.
- A system app is a Keepit-owned application that comes with predefined permissions required to back up and restore your data.
- A custom app is a customer-owned, single-tenant application that you register within your organization and link to Keepit. With a custom app, you can choose which permissions to grant to Keepit.
Before you add a connection, ensure you have prepared a service account that meets the needed requirements.
